WELCOME TO COASTAL PLAYERS
The newest theatre company in the Marinette and Menominee area, Coastal Players began by bringing live theatre back to the Menominee Opera House for the first time since 1950 with our 2019 production of The Last Five Years. Since then, we’ve produced the hilarious, critically-acclaimed French farce Boeing Boeing, and created our first outdoor production, A John Denver Songbook. We’re enriching our community by creating bold theatre, often in unconventional spaces that help us unite our artists with new audiences.

It’s 1990. Jon’s in love—isn’t he? Isn’t she? Tick. His friends have good jobs. Did he choose the wrong career? He wrote a good musical—that doesn’t mean anybody wants to hear it. Tick. Jon’s going to be thirty. Too soon. What does he have to show for it? Is that just a clock? Or is that Jon’s life about to blow up in his face? BOOM.

Tick, Tick … Boom! is a semi-autobiographical look at the pressures of love, friendship, and a life in the theatre from Jonathan Larson, the writer and composer of RENT.
